Social Anxiety

Out of all the phobias that have been diagnosed by mental health therapists over the past twenty years, mysophobia is perhaps THE phobia to watch out for.

Why? Think about it. As the internet increases in popularity, people will forego human interaction, i.e, they close themselves into their little computer corners and don't return until they need to. People will rid themselves of human interaction and opt for computer to computer interaction. Many, even now, have an irrational fear of people and social interaction

Yes, you can see and hear on the other side of the internet wire, but not having a face to face talk with that person hinders meaningful relationships. It’s not a cause for alarm just yet, though many therapists would disagree with me, but we should do what we can to encourage human interaction when possible.

And besides, that's what they did when they didn't have the telephone, mail, fax, email, or the internet.
